So, you're ready for your driving test! Great!!
The driving test is designed to establish whether you:
know the Rules of the Road, have
the knowledge and skill to drive competently in

the safety and convenience of other road users.

|
Here is what you must be able to demonstrate in order to
pass:
1) Full knowledge of the rules of the road
2) To be able to control the car safely and competently
3) Have proper position on the road, such as on the
straight and corners
4) Display knowledge of the car's secondary controls (eg,
indicators etc.)
5) Show a number of checks, eg, oil, tyres, coolant,
lights, steering etc.

The main idea is to give the tester a comfortable and
safe journey for about 20 minutes. Take your time, but
don't delay. You want the examiner to not worry about
how you're going to take the next corner, but more about
what he/she's getting for dinner that night! If you make
a mistake, or cut out, don't worry, it happens to us
all. Just relax and continue on, chances are you won't
even get marked for it. |
